Padas River flows fast and furious through the rugged mountainous region south of Kota Kinabalu. Getting to the starting point is an adventure in itself as you travel by road, train, railroad trolley and speedboat. The rafting part is pure adrenaline rush as you shoot the rapids through the thundering flow of water. Spectacular rainforest views particularly through the Padas Gorge.

Tour itinerary

0800hrs: Pick up from hotel in Kota Kinabalu with earlier pick up times from hotels north of Kota Kinabalu.  Start your journey to Tenom which would take a good 3 hours passing by small towns, villages and really pretty tropical countryside. Have some light refreshment at Tenom and get ready for a fun-filled thrill ride on a plankwood carriage as it is poled on a 100-year-old railway track to Pangi station. It's a ride you have to see it to believe it!  

1100hrs:  Safety briefing at the starting point and the excitement kicks up a notch as you propel yourself - and your raft - through the pounding rapids of the Padas River. The excursion covers a distance of 9km of this 200 km river that holds 7 exciting and tough rapids!

1300hrs:  A quick stop at Rayoh Station for lunch before continue rafting down through the Borneo rainforest to Halogilat Station. From here, it’s a short speedboat ride to Beaufort where you will meet up with your luggage that was transferred down by train from the starting point, and onwards by road back to your hotel.

• Requires Good Physical Health
• Participants are required to sign an indemnity form before tour commences at starting point.
• Pick up will be earlier if staying in hotels north of Kota Kinabalu and an additional transportation fee will be added to the package price.
• All tours are based on SEAT-IN COACH i.e not a private tour.
• Suitable for children 12 years old and above.

Suggested things to bring:
Towel, change of clothes, shoes or sandals, sun block lotion, insect repellent, strap for spectacles/sunglasses and personal toiletries. No white clothing.
