Go To Sabah Travel Guide

    June 2007

  Dear members,

The holiday season is moving into high gear! This month we are featuring one of the most popular tours which offers you the best of Sabah in 5 days – ideal for those with limited time or traveling with children. For the more active, add on the trek to Mt. Kinabalu or white water rafting at the end of the tour.

Another popular request we’ve received on our website over time is about photo safaris. We are pleased to announce that our first photo safari will now be held in November this year. Please contact us for the complete photo safari itinerary and other tour options to add on after the safari. The Tabin Wildlife Reserve and Danum Valley are great options as both are just a few hours drive from the floodplain and are well-known for their wildlife, birds and plant diversity.

Over the next few months we will be adding more information and tours to Sarawak and Brunei as we progress towards upgrading SabahTravelGuide.Com to BorneoTravelGuide.Com. Please drop us a line if you have any suggestions or comments on how we can provide you with the best travel assistance in planning for your next holiday to Borneo.

Happy travels!

Rainforest World Music Festival
13-15 July 2007

The Rainforest World Music Festival is a unique festival that brings together on the same stage renowned world musicians from all continents and indigenous musicians from the interiors of the mythical island of Borneo. Its formula of afternoon informative workshops, ethno-musical lectures, jamming sessions and mini concerts, followed by evening performances on the main stage has proven to be a hit with the audience, who come from near and far. The festival site also sets up a variety of food and drink stalls, an arts and crafts area as well as a counter for festival memorabilia, Sarawak souvenirs and CDs by the performing artists, all this  contributing to a fun filled, wholesome festival experience. World Music plus a country fair atmosphere in the midst of lush greenery. The Rainforest World Music Festival, a not-to-be-missed occasion, guarantees a smashing time in the heart of the Borneo Jungle!
